Collum A or Collum B? (lec week 6)

The word 'media' comes under the umbrella of two topics: one being Consumption, and the other, Production. Now the term Consumption are examples of shared space, a cinema perhaps (big screen), it could be television shared within the home or privately consumed media, even a personal computer. Then there is a fixed media player (small screen). This can be shared publicly or privately, personal media player and mobile phones which can be accessed on 'Fly', and no, not that sort of insect. Fly simply is the access of video on and personal media. The problem with this 'Fly' is that it is hard to access games or sports due to the incredible size of it. Also the problem with consumers producing entertainment content on the mobile phone is that it usually looks & sounds terrible, and I mean, really terrible. Production on the other hand of this umbrella are about mash ups, and consumers which become producers. Consumers are increasingly involved in the production of products, and they produce their own characteristics in the process of consuming and producing products. (Facebook, YouTube etc)
